Seiji Igusa, born into a pastor’s family, was exposed to gospel music early on. He began playing drums at 11 and guitar at 15. At 20, he launched his career as a guitarist and won the Grand Prize and Original Arrangement Award at FINGER PICKING DAY 2009. He has since performed as an opening act for Tommy Emmanuel and was a top 5 finalist at the 2010 Walnut Valley Festival in the U.S. Known for his intricate fingerpicking, Seiji has toured across Asia and China, earning acclaim for his expressive style. He is also active as a composer and has been featured in leading guitar publications in Japan.
