Luli Lee is a Seoul-based singer-songwriter and bassist known for her captivating dual role as a vocalist and instrumentalist.
She first burst onto the indie scene in 2011 as the bassist for Bye Bye Badman. Following the release of their self-titled debut EP, the band made a sweeping impact, collecting nearly every major indie music award in South Korea. Her career with the band reached international heights, featuring high-profile moments such as opening for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds in 2015 and performing at SXSW in Austin, Texas, in 2016. In January 2018, she marked a pivotal turning point with her debut solo EP, Rise From The Ashes, officially establishing her identity as a solo artist.
Shortly after her solo debut, Lulileela gained global recognition through viral live clips on YouTube and Instagram Reels. She is a true polymath, overseeing every facet of her music—including songwriting, composition, arrangement, performance, mixing, and art direction.
